Novo Restaurant & Lounge has won Best San Luis Obispo Restaurant for 12 years since our inception in 2003. Owner Robin Covey’s innovation and vision have helped elevate the San Luis Obispo dining scene while remaining true to offering local produce whenever possible. With a new menu every season, Novo brings delightful flavor and an iconic SLO experience to visitors and locals alike.
Novo has won Best Outdoor Dining for the 17th consecutive year, making its iconic location a memorable one. Novo remains dedicated to providing guests with an authentic and remarkable dining experience — both indoors and out — from their location in the old Cigar Factory Building along San Luis Creek.
Novo’s creekside patio is tiered to create three unique dining experiences. The brick patio is perfect for a casual lunch, while the Grappolo patio is inviting for brunch or happy hour cocktails. The Latin patio welcomes couples for a romantic dinner and has been the site of numerous first dates and wedding proposals.
